Pack Leader - Sled Dog Life Lessons. Leadership, Teamwork and Life Lessons.

Sled Dog Life Lessons is a new and unique approach to leadership development, team building and life lessons that will broaden the audience's aspect.

Real life stories of champion sled dogs will illustrate each element in a series of workshops focusing on principles of leadership, teamwork, and personal development.

Learn new concepts, harness your capabilities and lead on.

About me: Each summer I travel north to Interior Alaska where I live with, and help train and care for, 50 sled dogs at one of the most successful professional sled dog racing kennels in Alaska.

Alongside living the dream, I research the leadership and teamwork principles that contribute to the success of the team. When home in New Zealand I combine my professional experience and training with my learnings about sled dogs to bring you a unique take on leadership, teamwork and life.

I have worked in team leadership, management and advisory positions for the Ministry of Education in Wellington, Lower Hutt and New Plymouth for 11 years. Prior to that I worked in industrial chemistry and process engineering positions mainly in the petrochemical industry in Taranaki. I hold a Bachelor of Technology (Chemical Technology) Hons.

Spicy was an Alaskan Husky from Two Rivers, Alaska. She ran in the 1000 mile Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race six times along with a multitude of other mid-distance races in Alaska. She lived her final years with me in Taranaki where she enjoyed running around the local parks and beaches, and sleeping on the couch. Spicy is the inspiration for the Sled Dog Life Lessons logo.
