Chelsea Langman is the owner of Skin Aware - a business specialising in workplace skin cancer screening and prevention programmes. Her background is in nursing, working in her early years in the UK and Australia before moving to NZ in 2002. Chelsea has over 16 years experience in the skin cancer field, as a surgical nurse and screening nurse, a Diploma in Dermoscopy and a passion for preventative health.
Skin Aware commenced business in Oct 2018 in the Taranaki region and is now servicing corporate businesses such as First Gas, Powerco, Port Taranaki to name a few. Skin Aware's mission is to reduce the mortality rate of Melanoma in New Zealand. With NZ having the highest rates of skin cancer in the world and an ageing population the need to raise awareness has become more urgent than ever. Skin Aware offers a personable, professional, compassionate service to workplaces focusing on early detection and prevention of skin cancer. This is done through education sessions, screening clinics and liaison support.
